Take one camera, with over 200,000 pictures taken. Add lots of dirt and dust from six years of world travel: From the top of Scotland to heart of London; Perched on the edge of Machu Picchu to dust storms in Bakersfield. What do you get? You get my Canon 20D.
I’ve had the camera for six years now. It is almost an extension o fmy hand I know it so well. I can shoot from the hip and have my photos framed and level.
Welcome the newest member of our family, 7D. She is the younger, smarter and more attractive sister to 20D.
I’m excited to get out and take some photos again. I goofed on a UV filter purchase for the new lens I got with it (16-35mm f2.8 II L). I picked up the Ultra-wide B+W UV filter to protect the lens. Little did I know it sticks out around the lens 10mm, preventing use of the lens cap, and the lens hood. Should have paid attention to the specifications for front cap.
Fortunately B&H will take the filter back and I’ll replace it with a simple 82mm filter, rather than that huge eyesore.
You want some results? I haven’t had the chance to go out yet, because it only just arrived. But I didn’t get a chance to snap a shot of last night’s dessert:
UPDATE: Oh man, there is so much more to learn. This thing is so much more customizable. I might have to get certified to use a 7D and its wide array of functionality. Fortunatly Canon has a large info database on the 7D.
